Awards Banquet - 2014

The Milton-Freewater Awards Banquet held in February was a huge success. The 2014 banquet will be held on February 20th......it is never too early to start thinking about your nomination!

Award Name Description Requirements
Agri-Business Award This award recognizes an individual interested in the advancement and health of the agricultural community through farming practices or as a business associate. The nominee must be involved in agriculture in one form or another and must have been active in the community for at least  five (5) years.
Golden Pioneer of the Year The Golden Pioneer of the Year award recognizes a retired individual who over their lifetime has made special efforts to be involved and help make the Milton-Freewater community a place where we can be proud to live.  This award is not limited to one winner per year.  He/she must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years.
Junior Citizen of the Year This award recognizes an individual who has made a special effort to be involved in community through any local club, organization or school. The nominee must be 20 to 45 years of age and must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years.
Man of the Year This award recognizes a man who has made a special effort to be involved in community through any local club, organization or school. He must have been active in the community for at least  five (5) years and be at least 45 years of age.
Woman of the Year This award recognizes a woman who has made a special effort to be involved in community through any local club, organization or school. She must have been active in the community for at least five (5) years and be at least 45 years of age.
Youth of the Year This award recognizes an outstanding student currently in high school.  This student must be involved in community and school activities.  This award should be an outstanding young person age 15 to 19 who is still attending school.
Educator of the Year This award recognizes a teacher that excels in the classroom in the MF school system. This teacher should be an outstanding role model and have a significant impact on a student's achievements and performance. This should be awarded to an outstanding teacher that has been an educator in MF for at least 3 years. 

Nomination Instructions

  • Please type or print neatly the nomination form
    • Download Nomination Forms Below
  • Nominations submitted will be considered for three (3) years
  • Letters of endorsement are welcome each year a candidate is eligible
  • Nominee must be active in the community of Milton-Freewater
  • All nominations must be turned in by January each year (date designated on nomination form)
